CHAZOO WARRIORS- “Taking up the Shield of Faith”

You may have seen them performing the Evolution of Dance on Youtube, or starring in the National award-winning video, Covenant or No Covenant, or leading a high school retreat. These are the bright green shirted Chazoo Warriors. If you are in 8th through 11th grade and would like to get involved with this amazing (and quite crazy) group of kids, applications are available for you! Growing in your faith, learning leadership skills, making a difference in Holy Spirit Parish, being surrounded by friends with similar beliefs, receiving sweet t-shirts, eating lots of pizza, and getting plenty of socializing time are all included. Adult Core Team (ACT)

Did you know that there are several adults who meet every month with the purpose of planning for, praying, and supporting youth and youth ministry activities? These adults compose what is called the “Adult Core Team” (ACT). ACT realizes that it is vital to our Catholic parish to have a youth ministry that attracts and impacts our youth. These adults work toward this goal through planning events, being involved in retreats, and dreaming towards a flourishing youth ministry program. ACT meets once per month on the last Wednesday of the month from 8pm-10:00pm. Contact Sarah if interested.

Birthday Card Club

Its scrapbooking fun!
On the third Thursday of each month at 1:30pm (September through May), a few lovely ladies gather to make homemade birthday cards to send out to our middle and high school youth. It’s a great outreach opportunity. The cards are pre-fabricated- all you need to do is put the pieces together and, if you want, add your own creative touch.

PRAYER WARRIORS

Do you have a half an hour a month and the ability to read 20 names of our youth?

The youth ministry has a team of adults who gather on the last Monday of each month (September through May) to pray for the youth of our parish and all involved in passing on the faith to our young people.

The prayers are provided- all you have to do is just read the names of our youth. Its so easiest yet this is the most vital ministry! Interested in being a prayer warrior for our faithful young? All that is needed is a loving heart, a half hour a month to pray for our youth by name, and a moment each day! Contact Sarah if interested.
