CARE MINISTRY
). A Care Minister is a companion to someone who needs support whether suffering from sickness, grief, loss, anxiety.
). Care Ministry is about sharing the compassionate presence of Jesus.
). It is also about receiving the marvelous gifts of the person visited through their acceptance, faith and prayer.
). Care Ministers are trained through a six week course and on-site experience: a hospital, health care facility or personal home.
). Care Ministers learn how to listen to self, God and others, respond in open and healing ways and share faith and prayer.
). NURSING HOME VISITATION: People in nursing homes are visited weekly. If a loved one enters a nursing home, please be sure to call the parish office.
). COMMUNION TO THE HOMEBOUND: People from the parish will bring communion to a homebound person after one of the Masses and visit them weekly.
