Faith Formation - High School

 

Confirmation Date

The date of Confirmation has been CHANGED, because Bishop Ricken needs to be in Rome from February 7-18.  The Confirmation liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, at 7:00 pm, in the Kimberly church.

Third Quarter Classes

Third quarter classes begin the week of January 8.

The following courses are being taught:

           Prayer and the Spiritual Life – Mondays, 6:30

           Personal Morality – Wednesdays, 4:30

           The Church Calendar – Wednesdays, 7:00 – FULL

           Eucharist and the Sacraments – Wednesdays, 7:00 – FULL

           Marriage and Sexuality – Wednesdays, 7:00

           Social Justice – Wednesdays, 7:00 – FULL

Confirmation Class – January 8

Students and sponsors should attend the class at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 8.  Students MUST bring their letters for the bishop to class.  It is VERY important that we receive the letter at that class because they must be delivered to the bishop’s office that week. SPONSORS ATTEND THIS CLASS.

Confirmation Retreats

January 14 – 9:00 to 4:00

January 21 – 9:00 to 4:00

January 28 – 9:00 to 4:00

The retreats will be held in the parish center in Kimberly.  The retreats include lunch, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and practice for Confirmation.  The students will receive a reminder at their class, telling on which date their retreat is scheduled.

Confirmation Liturgy

The Confirmation Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 on Wednesday, February 1, in our Kimberly church, Bishop David Ricken will preside at the liturgy.  All candidates and sponsors must be in their pews by 6:30.  The bishop will meet with them at that time.

Service Projects

All high school students are now required to complete a number of service hours before their Confirmation year.

After completing a service experience, fill out the form, and return it to the faith formation office in the parish center in Kimberly.
